660 kit. I have built 5 of these kits now and they are great! Built one for my dad brother and myself and sold 2. You can keep it very simple by just breaking the edges of the ports in the cylinder, and bolt it together for a great saw, or you can get as carried away with the build as you want. Either way lots of fun, a great saw, and a huge savings over OEM.

went together perfectly in a weekend, have been running for my firewood harvesting for 2 years with no issues, runs strong, timing numbers and squish very close to OEM. Done some milling as well with no issue.

What an awesome saw! It was fun to build and I had absolutely no problems with it. I just ordered another one to build as a gift to my father.

I just order my second 660 first one was great the only thing that dose suck is how long it takes for them to ship it! I order just a few extra parts on a different order and they shipped with in 2 days

Only complaint - 3 missing screws.

I ordered 2 660 kits and both went together easy enough with some time on youtube. I did not use any OEM parts and both saws are over 10 tanks old and running strong. One for milling and one for firewood. One has a 28 bar and the other I will run up to a 42 for milling with no problem. The oil pumps don't seem to produce the volume they should so I add oil manually while I'm milling.
Fun saws to run and now my Stihl ms440 just sits on the shelf.
It is fun a fun hobby if you like to tinker, and I'm looking forward to building a top handle.

The gas tank on my new 660 leaks. They are making excuses to not fix it. They keep asking for pictures over and over, then they ask me to put silicone. Then they ask to ship the saw to China. Just send me a fucking new tank!!!!! Your screw up not mine!!!

Love this kit. Couple little problems here and there, but ultimately if your a competent individual, super easy to figure out. Beware though, can be addictive, i bought one and a mill, been beating the crap out of the saw, and just ordered another because it was fun to put together. Kinda like an adult model car.

I have built four of these kits - ms660,MS361, ms360, and ms440, all bought from Farmertec. I had a few problems with a few parts and replaced them with identical parts from eBay. All four saws work great and have cut lots of wood and I do not mean small stuff, either. I want to build the 460 and all of the saws have been an excellent investment if you have the necessary ability to put them together.

i have built 3 of these 660 clones, they run good. i sold all 3 to a tree servis and they have had no problems yet with them.i port time each saw and do port work according to the numbers i get. i cut cylinder base to get .20 piston squish, and make muffler a triple port. i will run these saws against a true stihl any day of the week...

these saw kits are great. i cut timber in washington state in the 70's thru 90's using stihl chainsaws. i would put these clones up against the true stihl saws with no hesitation at all. I put two 660 and 3 of the 440 together and sold them to a tree service to give me feedback. they have ben running them for over two months now with no problems...The 440 saws i filed the throttle safety trigger so it wouldnt stick in throttle trigger guide.I heated and bent upwards so it works the choke plate shaft smoothly.These two mods make the on/off and choke crossshaft work smoothly,you wont need oem throttle setup!! I put degree wheel on all the saws and ported and cut base of cylinders to get .020 piston clearance squish.The 660 saws dint need any throtle tweaks ,they all worked smooth. Great saws for the money.

These clones run great. I used to run stihl chainsaws back in 70's and 90's on the west coast of Washington State. I would use these clones. I port and cut base of cylinder down on mill/ drill to get .020 piston squish . Install full wrap handlebars. On the 444 clones you need to file end of throttle lock lever on side that fits into throttle trigger lock guide , just bevel side at end and round the end a little bit. The throttle on/Off switch will operate smoothly after doing this and the throttle lock won't stick. You also need to heat up end of choke arm on the on/ off cross shaft , bend it up slightly let cool. It will operate the choke on carb a lot easier, no need to change assembly to oem after doing the 2 mods.

This is the second 660 I built. The two I sold to a Tree service to have them try, I told them they are stihl clone saws upfront. They have run the two 660 now for over two months and they have had no issues with them. They bought a 440 clone from me last week. When I assemble these clones I put degree wheel on them and see what the port timing is and port intake and exhaust accordingly to numbers and modify muffler port and exits.I install full wrap handlebars as well.I wouldn't be afraid to cut timber on the west coast with these clones if I wasn't retired....

I have been using this saw for a few months now with very few issues. I have been running it on 25:1 fuel mix. As a professional arborist (UK) I have been using the stihl version for over 7 years and can say there is very little difference. Amazing saw for the price! I recommend it to everyone I work with.
