Chain brake handle cracked within 2 hours of use and fast idle to start lasted the same !would not buy again

Great product. The kit was complete and fun to assemble. Very powerful saw. Would recommend to anyone who is handy with tools. Very affordable.

What a great saw puzzle to do during the Corona season.... only a few small problems
Easley addressed ground a hair from bottom of the piston skirt to have better clearance from the crank and the chain break is a little wonky other than that a wonderfull saw totally worth doing for fun then have something to show for it for many years

Good saw,light, good power,beveled the piston skirts little bit and slapped it together. Had a 36 pro can barely tell the difference between huztl and stihl 36 pro. Only complaint is the flat top engine shroud has a crack on the corner other then that it came with the 49mm big bore piston. Stock I believe is 47mm.idles 2,520 rpm and revs to 13,380close to what ms361 is at 2500/14000

Saw went together with no problems, missing no parts. Installed big bore kit and it ran great from first start. I didn't mod it in any way, just stock from the box. Thinking about my next build already.

Seems to be well built saw. Had all parts needed for assembly. The how to videos for bolt by bolt are lacking. Ended up getting a shop manual, worked well. Next I need to fire it up. Thanks Huztl!

Habe bereits 3 dieser Sägen zusammengebaut. Alle laufen bis jetzt super.
Sie stehen dem Original in nichts nach. Alle teile passten zusammen . Bis jetzt habe ich nur Kleinteile ( Muttern Kettenkaddeckel und Tankdeckeldichtringe , Zündkerze) durch Originalteile ersetzen müssen.
Leider musste ich bei 2 Sägen schon öfters die Zündspulen ersetzen. Diese Spulen scheinen einfach nicht zu halten......
Aber sonst kein Unterschied zu den originalen von S...L

I am really enjoying this MS361. I bought it so I could play porting games on something less than an OEM cost cylinder and piston. Decided to build the whole saw to start out, even more fun. I have a number of saws and this one is right there becoming my favorite. I have rebuilt the top end 3 times now as I work on porting the spare cylinders and mufflers. At this point in the process I have a ported big bore installed and it's great. I think I'll stop with it right the way it is, maybe build another. Only part I changed out besides P&Cs was the intake manifold, which did not seal real well at the carburetor. Replaced it ending any problems. This is now my go to saw in Pacific Northwest timber.

Ich muss jetzt Mal was zu der Säge was sagen also die MS 361 habe ich in original und habe noch eine vor 7 Jahren hier in China gekauft sie war schon zusammen gebaut und hatte um die 300€ gekostet und die originale war öfter kaputt wie die von China sie werden ungefähr gleich Benut die Dummen Sprüche wie original ist besser die sind Sau Dumm ich habe viel Geld gespart und habe eine super Geile Säge !!!!!

Bought this 361 both carby and crankcase were deformed.
Huztls team told me that they were ok to use wish i could post the photos because they clearly arnt.

Follow up to 2-11-18 review. Saw runs GREAT!!! Could not be happier. I installed the BBore Kit. Highly recommend it. Makes the saw an animal. Quickly turning into my favorite saw.

Received the in very short shipping time. Good quality. Found a defective crankshaft seal. Saw sheared the flywheel key. Huztl customer service staff is happily replacing the key and the flywheel. Saw felt very torquey. Less vibration that my 360 for the few minutes it ran. Anxious to put in into some wood!
Great winter project.

this saw kit is great cant tell them difference between it and my OEM stihl MS361
that cost me over $600.00 when I bought it new .

I ordered and received this MS361 kit in 8 days. Pretty fast shipping from China to the U.S. Packaging was good, parts were in nice shape and fit together well. Cylinder and ports were nice, no sharp edges or casting imperfections. I had 2 spare bar studs and a spare bolt when done but the kit was complete. The saw is up and running. No wood cut yet but it seems to idle and rev fine. The only parts I swapped out are the chain brake spring (which is made wrong) and the spark plug (weak spark). For the price I am very happy. Only time will tell as to what will wear or need replacing as the saw gets broken in.

Unico inconveniente la valvola di sfiato del serbatoio che non funzionava bene e non riuscivo a carburare , per il resto tutto ok. Motore brillantissimo e potente. Testata con una barra da 20" a taglio pieno : incredibile .

Bought two complete ms 361 and asembled it by Stihl manual. Put original Stihl Chain and Chain bar 16" . After a few month of use All works fine engine Full of power and seems so far Like a robust Chainsaw. Had problems with small rubber parts, fuel hose brake apart after 10 days of use , clutch spring brake ater 15 days, after a month starter rope and starter pawls brakes. ALL this on both chainsaws in a distance of few days. Last problem i Had is with oil seal on clutch side, totally wear of, leakeage of vacuum so i have eratic or no idle and tough start on cold engine.
Order again All parts on hutzl but IT seems i must put this original Stihl parts. IT must be better quality.
Advice for ALL WHO bought this, assemble IT with original Stihl parts( fuel hose, starter rope, oil seals) and you will dont have problems.
All in all with some small problems good Chainsaw for unbeatable price.
