Bought this ro repair my 20 year old MS290. This upgrades it to a 390, I also drilled 4 holes in muffler behind screen for mod. Upgraded to 3/8" OEM sprocket, and 20" bar and chain. I had a new carb, hoses, plug, and coil installed, but it still did not run. I took off muffler and noticed rings froze and scoring on exhaust side of cylinder and thought I would try this. Glad I did! Runs better than new! I have ran 10-20 tanks of gas since doing this, A better saw for another 20 years!
