Couldn't afford to replace my ms880 I had to sell, thought I'd try one of these. Couldn't tell you about the 070 as I went straight to the 090 piston, also offered by Huztl. Quite enjoyable to build, a few minor issues, nothing major. Deleted the governor, added an oregon rim sprocket, and a 10 pin danzl sprocket. Just running a 25" bar. Makes more power than my 880 did. Make sure to use the de-comp, it'll try to take your arm off. Lol.

I bought this kit. Took me two days to put together and fired right up. A few minor tweaks but great experience. Waiting for a bar to run it.

I bought this kit and assembled it in my spare time. I highly recommend watching the YouTube videos while assembling this saw. The one thing that baffled me was the governor flap assembly. I could not find a video that covered this in great detail, but is easy to figure out if you look at another saw or picture. It would have been easier to install the governor flap and oil tank vent before assembling the case halves, I did not do that. Other than that, I had a great time building it. I used all the parts in the kit, but the clutch drum. I ordered an Oregon System that runs the Rims, fits perfectly. I have no real need for a saw this size (105cc’s), but so far no regrets on buying it. I have ran a gallon of fuel through it so far with no issues. Oil mixed at 32:1 ratio, the next gallon I plan on running 40:1 and will not ever run any less oil than that. I would buy this kit again and recommend it to anyone with the skill to assemble it.

Just finished this kit last night. I bought the 66mm piston cylinder with it. Started right up, I did have to really tighten the flywheel and clutch nuts, you can hear when the clutch side seats. Bedfords video was helpful, only thing I would add is the direction of spring tension on gov. flap is to pull it downward. I bought the 070 assembled last winter and had that as reference. Why did I buy this? I am milling bigger logs and wanted the larger bore, I have successfully built the 066, 036, MS361, MS250, and it was on sale!

I just received my 070 today and I have also built a MS660 and have purchased many bars and chains from this company and I would just like to say that the service and parts and shipping is excellent. I have a small business repairing and servicing and sharpening chainsaws etc, and Huztl have been a great assistance to my successes with my clients. It's also a lot of fun to build the saws.
